Ormai ci siamo e il momento tanto atteso delle vacanze estive è arrivato anche per me..
Quest'anno niente spiagge e niente mare ma si viaggia verso l'aria fresca delle Dolomiti. :)
Sicuramente non sarà una vacanza rilassantissima vista la moltitudine di passeggiate che abbiamo in programma ma sarà sicuramente un toccasana per il corpo e per la mente!! Ovviamente non mancherò di scattare tantissime fotografie (sperando di trovare qualche animaletto qua e là tra i boschi).
Per i momenti di puro relax tra i monti ho comprato un libro che puntavo già da qualche tempo e che son riuscita a trovare finalmente. Appassionata delle serie tv e dei film di Sex and the City, non potevo non prendere il libro che fa da prequel a tutto quanto ovvero i "Diari di Carrie" di Candace Bushnell.
Ho preso sia la versione in inglese per la lettura che quella in italiano per poter aggiungere questa piccola perla alla mia libreria "pink".
Il libro, per chi non ne ha ancora sentito parlare, segue il personaggio della nostra Carrie Bradshaw durante gli anni del liceo negli anni '80 e nei suoi inizi da scrittrice a New York: non è un caso che il libro sia sottotitolato "Meet Carrie before Sex and the City".
E voi vi chiederete: faranno anche il film del libro??? Ci sono dibattiti contrastanti proprio in queste settimane... Vi dico solamente che i produttori esecutivi di Gossip girl sono parecchio interessati a produrre il prequel..Staremo a vedere nelle prossime settimane come si evolverà la questione e nel frattempo mi godo la lettura del mio nuovo libro :)
Finally here we are and the moment of my summer holidays has come...
This year no beaches and no seas for me.. we go to the Dolomites to breathe some fresh air :)
Surely it won't be a relaxing holiday considering the moltitude of long walks that we have planned but certainly it will be a cure-all for body and mind!!
Obviously i will take a lot of pics (hoping to find some little animals in the wood).
I've bought a book to read in more relaxing moments that i was looking for.
As i've been so much involved by Sex and the City TV series and movie, i couldn't resist to buy the book that is the prequel of the whole story "Carrie's diaries" by Candace Bushnell.
I bought both english and italian versions of the book: the english one for the reading and the italian one in order to add this little pearl to my "pink" library.
The book follows Carrie Bradshaw character during High School years in '80s and during her writing adventure in New York: it's no accident that the book is subtitled "Meet Carrie before Sex and the City".
And you are going to ask yourself: will they do the movie of this book? There are a lot of different conflicting debates in these weeks.... I just can tell you that Gossip Girl executive producers are very interested in producing the prequel... We just have to wait and see for the final decision about the movie and meanwhile i will enjoy the reading of my new book ;)
